MeUndies Pouch Front Thong

Overall summary

The MeUndies Pouch Front Thong has a broader front than most of the thongs I own, so it feels much less revealing. There is no fly, but the coverage reminds me of a bikini brief, with a thong strap at the back. The pouch lets everything settle without much pressure, and the tail adds a little contact without making the whole pair feel especially adventurous.

That was part of the attraction when I bought it. I had heard positive things about MeUndies, and this looked less exotic than some of the other thongs I owned. After roughly 15 wears, I would call it comfortable, ordinary underwear with a thong back. I still wear it when that is what I want, but if comfort alone is the goal, I generally prefer boxer briefs. I prefer thongs that make me feel something, and this one gives me less of that than the pairs I enjoy most from Obviously, Andrew Christian and John Sievers.

Pouch / Support

The front fits okay, but it feels much flatter than the name suggests. With the Primeman, my package drops into space that seems deliberately shaped for it. Here, the fabric wraps around me more like the front of ordinary underwear, with less of a distinct pocket to settle into. Broad coverage is not the same thing as usable pouch depth.

That difference matters more to me than lift alone, and it explains the 2 for pouch and support. The Primeman does not give me much lift either, but I like having that dedicated space. The MeUndies holds me comfortably, with no noticeable pressure behind my package, but gives me less of the shape and feeling I want.

I chose Large because the size guide I consulted put my 33-inch waist at the upper end of Medium, and I did not want an overly tight fit. That was my reason for sizing up, rather than evidence that everyone should. This review covers Large, so it does not establish how Medium would fit me.

Fabric and Feel

The fabric feels soft and cotton-like to me, with the familiar comfort that runs through the rest of the pair. The actual blend is 92% MicroModal and 8% elastane. I had no excessive heat or dampness during my longest everyday wear, and the fabric remains pleasant against my skin. I like the hearts, too, even though the print now looks more faded than I expected.

Waistband

The waistband holds well, although it is a little tall and sometimes rolls at the very top. Even in Large, it digs in enough to push some skin above it, which you can see in the photographs. Sizing up has not made this a loose fit. The occasional rolling is a minor annoyance rather than something that spoils the whole pair.

Thong and Tail

The tail is probably the best part. It stays put, does not rub, and adds some welcome pressure to what otherwise feels like a fairly boring pair of underwear. I notice it when I move, but the contact is generally easy to forget. The strap is not particularly tight, which helps with comfort, although it also gives me less of the feeling of wearing something sexy or special.

Movement and All-Day Wear

The longest wear I remember was 12 hours on an ordinary day of errands and shopping, with jeans, a button-down shirt and an undershirt tucked in. It was fine: I felt supported at the front, occasionally noticed the tail as I moved, and otherwise got on with the day. I did make some adjustments, but I do not think I can fairly blame those on the thong itself.

I noticed no visible underwear lines beneath those jeans, although they were thick enough that they were unlikely to show much. I would not assume the same result under thinner pants. The rear clothing photograph also shows the waistband above the jeans, which is a separate issue from lines showing through the fabric.

Washing and Durability

I have worn and washed this pair roughly 15 times, using a cold wash and tumble drying on low. The amount of fading has surprised me: the hearts have lost some contrast, and the black now looks more gray. There is no pilling and the elastic still seems good, so the concern is how quickly the print has aged rather than a loss of comfort. I still like the pattern, but I expected it to keep its color better.
